Vision

I See a Church…

Vision enables us to see the future today.

When I look at the future of what Heartland will be…

I see a Church of intense worshippers, a place of uninhibited praise of and absolute abandonment to the magnificent Lord Jesus Christ.

I see an army of intercessors gripped by a burden for their Lord’s glory and the satisfaction of His heart in saving the lost; individuals who are not merely willing but excitedly exchanging their lives to see His Kingdom come in power.

I see a gathering place where the human hunger for God is so great that God no longer visits but dwells in power; a place where people come from far and wide to experience God and not simply hear about Him; a place where people are set free from life long bondages simply by entering the thick manifest presence of God.

I see a place where God’s presence becomes the program and PR.

I see a place where there is not only hunger enough to cause God to come down, but out of fear of grieving Him, humility enough to cause Him to stay.

I see a place where Jesus is glorified as healer of body and soul. I see a place where the hurting and sick come in droves with a God inspired hope, and rather than the disillusionment and disappointment of looking to sterile religion, they find the healing and freedom they have always longed for. I see a Church where the claims of Christ are not merely proclaimed but are continuously fulfilled in this generation.

I see a place where God’s presence is so real that all who enter are forced by the encounter to choose one way or the other concerning Christ.

I see a place where the enemy is driven out of individual lives by the sheer depth of God’s presence. I see a place where the water level of God’s presence rises so that holiness and humility reign in the relationships of His Church citywide and the enemy is dethroned over the community and region by the humble holiness of His city-wide Bride.

I see a Church which is a spiritual well that becomes the destination of thousands of Pastoral pilgrimages with the goal of being revived, opening internal wells within them which become sources of supply for the land of their calling.

I see a place where purity of heart is the rule of leadership, a place where sincere investments are made into the ministry of other churches with no hope of reward other than knowing King Jesus’ satisfaction in seeing His Kingdom extended.

I see a Church where by simply being in the atmosphere, people are arrested by the call to go, equipped through their involvement, supported by their relationships and launched by the contagious passion the Church exudes to go into all the world to fulfill the Great Commission.

It is to this end that I commit to live and die.
